Jeremy Kisshire Announces Candidacy for Conway County Sheriff

I, Jeremy Kissire, am announcing my candidacy for Conway County Sheriff.  The primary election will be held March 3, 2026, as I will be on the Republican ballot

As our current Sheriff, Mike Smith, has announced his intent to pursue a well-earned retirement, I am asking for your support in continuing this honored commitment by becoming your Conway County Sheriff.

I am prepared, capable, and equipped for the role of Sheriff and look forward to the opportunity to further expand our offices’ knowledge and capability to maintain a safe and prosperous county.

My experience is extensive.  I began my law enforcement career in 2004 working for Pulaski County.  It was during this time; former Conway County Sheriff Mark Flowers recognized the duties I was performing and offered me a position as a deputy sheriff within my home county.  Here I continued my training and proceeded to use my knowledge and skills within the Conway County Sheriff’s Office.  Under the leadership of current Sheriff, Mike Smith, in July of 2019, I was given the opportunity to hold the position of Criminal Investigator.  Within that position, I spent several years compiling cases to deliver to the Prosecuting Attorney, with convictions.  In 2021, I was promoted by Sheriff Mike Smith and currently hold the title of Chief Deputy.  Within this position, I oversee the Deputy Sheriffs as well as the Criminal Investigation Division.  I also help ensure that the Sherriff’s office operates within budget.

I am thankful for the opportunities I have had serving within the administrative staff of Sheriff Mike Smith and am thankful these roles have been entrusted to me.  I do not take the duties, nor the thought that went into selecting me for these duties, lightly.  It is an honor to bear the responsibility.

Having been a lifelong resident of Center Ridge and a father whose children have also been raised in our county, my heart and soul run deep for the citizens we serve and protect.  I am a graduate of Nemo Vista High School and currently reside on the Nemo Vista School Board.  My wife, Leslie Kissire, and I enjoy our farm where we can be found in our free time working on our hay production and spending time with friends and family.

I look forward to visiting with the citizens of our county.  I would like to ask for your vote and support in the upcoming election in becoming your Conway County Sheriff.
